Zumstein was founded in 1946 by Charles E. Zumstein and his wife Phyllis. Their son Ed began working with the company in 1968 and assumed CEO responsibilities and ownership in 1984. We are dedicated to safety and providing superior service by anticipating our customers ever-changing needs and responding to their expectations. This dedication to safety and service has been the driving force behind the company's growth and continued success.

Expansion & Partnerships
Since the begining, Zumstein's main focus has been providing non-stop, truck load services for our customers. In order to maintain our focus AND provide a full range of services, we partnered with a company who shares in our commitment to customer satisfaction and exceptional service. A strategic alliance was formed between Zumstein and Cheeseman, who specializes in partial load, multi-stop services. This partnership not only expanded our capabilities, but also strengthened our service network. We now offer truckload, LTL, load-to-ride direct, dedicated, expediting, equipment leasing, logistic services, warehousing and distributions services.

Into the Future
Zumstein and Cheeseman now provide service to the 48 contiguous United States, Canada and Mexico with special emphasis in the Eastern and Central time zones. Our total assets are over 360 trucks and 1000 trailers. We will continue to expand in direct reponse to our customers needs.
